Leyte Dance Theater Dance Studio

            Another major program of Leyte Dance Theater was the opening of its doors to the dance enthusiasts of the region and responded to the clamor for a dance school specializing in dance training ad its related arts. Established during the Summer Term of 2003, the dance school has blossomed to a regular year-round dance-training program. Its courses include the following:

A. Regular Dance Classes

·        Ballet – Beginners, Advanced Beginners and Intermediate

·        Jazz  - Children, Teens and Adults

·        Polynesian Dances – Summer Course only

·        Folk Dances – Integrated in Ballet Courses

B. Additional Offerings

·        Dance Tutorials – Single person or Groups

·        Fielding Choreographers for Festival Dance Competitions

·        Dance Consultancies (and its Related Arts)

·        Dance Performances (Locally & Internationally)

            The teaching staffs of the dance school are the senior members of the group. Occasionally, LDT invites dance masters from other parts of the country (who have made a name in a certain dance field) to give workshops and consultancies. Some members of LDT have studied dance at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School and with Powerdance to upgrade competencies in teaching.

             The dance school also offers scholarships to deserving students, and exemplary students are invited to join either KPAG or the LDT depending on their age brackets.
